We will be reaching out to eligible facilities to schedule their assessment on a rolling basis.
Assessments are designed to help facilities identify infrastructure vulnerabilities, strengthen shelter-in-place capabilities, and improve operational resilience during disasters.
What to Expect
The assessment process includes:
- A brief initial questionnaire
- Coordination with the assessment team
- An on-site infrastructure and resilience assessment
- A detailed follow-up report with recommendations and potential resilience investments
Assessments focus on operational resilience and are not regulatory inspections or compliance surveys.
Assessment Areas
- Electrical infrastructure and power systems
- Generator readiness and backup power distribution
- HVAC performance
- Roof conditions
- Structural vulnerabilities
- Environmental hazards and drainage concerns
After the Assessment
Facilities receive a detailed, actionable report that may be used to apply directly to DCH for grant funding.
Technical assistance and program support from UGA IDM will be available throughout the process.
