Driven by Purpose

With a culturally competent curriculum and training, the Institute of Disaster Management provides expert disaster services and education to future leaders and organizations locally, nationally, and globally.

IDM has a large focus on research and outreach. Our teams work on multiple projects throughout the year with different groups and organizations in the public health and emergency management fields. On these projects, we develop, implement, and deliver customized disaster education, training, and planning. Our projects have ranged from helping long term care facilities, healthcare preparedness, and even Ebola training. These outreach projects help to prepare communities around the State of Georgia, the United States, and the globe. We are also committed to furthering research in the disaster management field and beyond. Read some of our current research publications below.
