The Institute for Disaster Management (IDM) was awarded the Nursing Home Strike Team grant from the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) to increase and support the CNA workforce in Long-Term Care Facilities across Georgia. IDM has partnered with the University of Georgia’s Institute of Gerontology, Alliant Health Solutions, and the Adsmith to ensure the timeliness and quality of all strategies relating to this initiative. The strike team will run over a two year time span.

The Georgia Career CNA Pathway Initiative was created under the grant to better serve the aging community of Georgia. More information on the initiative and becoming a CNA can be found on the website here.
