Gretchen Alexander, MPH

Program Coordinator III

Gretchen Alexander is a Program Coordinator III at the University of Georgia’s Institute for Disaster Management. She holds a B.S. in Public Health and a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Disaster Management from UGA. After graduating, Gretchen served as an ORISE Fellow with the CDC in the Division of Global Migration and Health’s Office of Preparedness and Response. During her graduate studies, she also interned with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.

In her role as Program Coordinator III, Gretchen manages logistics for both in-office and field activities related to disaster preparedness projects, develops emergency preparedness project plans, and creates deliverables based on project outcomes. She also oversees registration and data collection for grant-funded initiatives.

In her free time, Gretchen enjoys reading both fiction and nonfiction, cooking, and learning how to sew and quilt.
